Sarah Catterson Coaching Limited, trading as ‘StrengthInUs’ (‘we’, ‘us, ‘our’) are committed to ensuring the protection and security of your privacy.
This notice describes how we process personal data (including sensitive data) relating to this website. In order to fully understand your rights, we encourage you to read this notice in full. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites.

Data Protection
We take our responsibility to protect your data seriously and will not collect any personal information about you on this website without your clear knowledge and permission. Any personal information which you volunteer to us will be treated strictly in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988-2018. Where data is submitted it will be used for the stated purpose and any reasonably incidental purposes only.
We do not sell or distribute your personal information to third parties for purposes of allowing them to market products and services to you.
How we collect data
We may collect information about you when you:
- Sign up to our app or our 8 week challenge
- During general web-browsing certain statistical information is available to us via our internet service provider.
- Send us information, such as through the “contact us” pages or any other area where you may send e-mails, request brochures/proposals or provide feedback.
The purpose of collecting information
We use your personal information in various ways to help you achieve and maintain your personal fitness goals.
- Website functionality – We analyse website users’ pattern of use to help us to improve, administer and diagnose problems with our server and website.
- For analytics, market research and business development, including to operate and improve our business, associated applications and associated social media platforms.
- Complaint handling – we may use the data you provide to us via our info@joinstrengthinus.com.
- Responding to your query – you may provide us with personal data through our info@joinstrengthinus.com while seeking information about our services.
- Sending newsletters – we will only send newsletters or marketing updates to you if you have provided your consent to receive them.
- Entering competitions.
Health and fitness data
Because StrengthInUs is a health and fitness service, we access, collect, use and share certain health and fitness data. This section explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with.
Data you give us directly
- Height, weight, age, sex and body measurements
- Training history, injuries or physical limitations
- Dietary preferences and requirements
- Workout logs, including sets, reps and weights lifted
- Progress photos, where you choose to upload them
Data collected through the app
- Activity and exercise data recorded during sessions you complete in the app, including workouts started, completed and skipped
- Programme progress and adherence
Data from connected devices and services (optional)
Where you grant permission, we may read data from Apple Health, Google Health Connect or a connected wearable device. This may include steps, active energy, heart rate, workouts and sleep. We only read the specific data types you approve, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your device settings.
How we use health and fitness data
- To build, deliver and adjust your training and nutrition programmes
- To track and display your progress to you
- To provide coaching support and respond to your queries
- To operate, maintain and improve the app
We do not use health or fitness data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we share health and fitness data
We share health and fitness data only with the service providers who help us run the app, such as hosting, app infrastructure and analytics providers, and only to the extent needed to provide the service to you. These providers are contractually required to keep your data secure and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not share health or fitness data with third parties for their own marketing.
Consent and deletion of health and fitness data
Health data is special category data under the GDPR. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you sign up and when you connect a device or health service.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by:
- Contacting us at info@joinstrengthinus.com
- Disconnecting the health integration in your device settings
- Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your health and fitness data at any time by emailing info@joinstrengthinus.com. Deleting your account removes this data in line with our Data Retention Policy.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data based on the following lawful basis:
- Processing based on the Data Subject’s consent.
- Processing necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g. Employment contract)
- Processing necessary for StrengthInUs to pursue its legitimate interests.
- Processing that is required under applicable law (e.g. Revenue/PRSI)
We will only process your sensitive data collected via this website with your explicit consent.
Your rights
Under data protection law, data subjects have certain rights. Subject to certain restrictions, which are set out below, you can exercise these rights in relation to your personal data we process.

Article 23 of the GDPR allows for data subject rights to be restricted in certain circumstances. In addition, the 2018 Act contains certain provisions dealing with the restriction of rights of data subjects, in particular Sections 59, 60 and 61, which give further effect to the provisions of Article 23. Who we share your information with
We do not share your information with third parties other than those set out in this policy. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Where we store personal information
We generally store personal information on servers located inside the European Economic Area. However, in certain cases it may be necessary for us to transfer certain information to servers located outside of the EU. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
All issues regarding this website are governed exclusively by Irish law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
